Ottawa eggheads ... and musicians, too! I couldn't find an accompanying story in the newspaper, but the record says these are students in the jazz combo at Lisg...ar Collegiate in November of 1956. The guys seem to be somewhat non-plussed at the fact that their bass player is a lady. But when you think about the times, the photographer got a great photo out of the group with a nice message. I'm not sure we even had a band at Sir Robert Borden when I went there. Must have been. But I wasn't in it. What was I thinking? One of those things I would change if I ever got a do-over!

Joe Leggett (1941, teacher 1960-81) passed away peacefully this week. Captain of Lisgar's Senior Football team in his graduating year, he retired from Lisgar as Head of Physical Education.
