Mayor's Message on Remembrance Day in South Huron Hello Everyone, Today we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made in defense of Canadian values and the freedom...s afforded to us by the bravery of those who served, and those who continue to serve, our great nation. This year’s Remembrance Day commemoration will feel a little different as we face a different fight to keep each other safe from the spread of COVID-19. Although we cannot be together, we are still united in our cause. We will continue to safeguard our most vulnerable by following the guidance of our healthcare professionals. United, we will continue to build up our community through acts of respect, compassion and kindness. All municipal flags are flying at half-staff today in an act of solemn remembrance that our freedoms are a gift but also an enduring responsibility that requires our attention. Lest we forget.
