Hello and Good Day, I hope this correspondence finds you and your family practicing social distancing to the best of your abilities and staying safe from Covid 19. This pandemic has affected all the elements of our lives: employment, investments, grocery shopping, social events, holiday celebrations, weddings and so many more, including Real Estate transactions. Generally, properties being listed right now are essential listings, meaning that the Sellers must list the prop...erties because of employment changes, marital splits, estate settlements, and previous property purchases, etc. On the advice of Provincial Ministries, National, Provincial and Local Real Estate Boards, Open Houses are forbidden. Property Showings are restricted. In some cases, virtual tours are the only means to view a property until an offer is registered. Not a great way to make the largest purchase of your life! Some Buyers feel that this may be a great time to get a bargain and, for first time Buyers, there is some truth to that, but if there is a property to Sell to make the deal, it will be subject to the same market conditions. So ultimately, what is the gain? If you are thinking about your next move, WAIT, if you can. At some point, the Market will return to what we consider normal. At that point (very late Spring and throughout the Summer) it is expected that there will be a saturation of the Market with New Listings.
