Delicious dishes covering the table for our first visit to the Little Chef Indian Eatery in Sydney River! Great atmosphere, absolutely fantastic service, and a ...menu that already has us planning our next trip. Forks things first though, let's eat! Little Chef's Khazana! A tasty combo featuring some of the delicious chicken coming out of the kitchen, paired with fresh naan bread and bright mint/citrus chutney. The tandoori chicken pulled off the bone with warm spices sealed in by the heat, the bites of chicken tikka were tender, and the ground chicken sausage had some great seasoning. Absolutely wonderful plate to start things off, made even better by some of the other dishes we paired it with.. Pakoras! Seasoned veg dredged through batter and fried to a wonderful golden brown, served with more mint chutney for serious dipping. These crispy appetizers are one of my favorite things to order any time we are craving Indian, and this plate was everything our star-struck eyes could ask for. Vegetable Biryani! Breagh tackled this aromatic dish head on, and I sampled a few big forkfuls which went wonderful with my chicken and pakoras. The herbs and spices had us smiling from the inside out, and damn were we stuffed by the times the forks were laid down! The mango lassi was a creamy awesome sip to have along side it all, would def recommend. So full, so happy, so excited to come back and try more of the menu (hello lamb masala!). The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the quality of the food really speaks to the care put in to this new but sure to be booming business.
