This is how we gravel a new driveway. For those that don’t know, we use chains to hold the tailgate mostly closed so only a little comes out at a time making the job easier. Sometimes we have to work on the weekend but when it’s at the lake house it doesn’t seem like work. Brent in the truck.

Retaining wall Wednesday! (Yes I’m aware it’s Thursday but it just didn’t sound as good and I might be a day late with my post). Anyways, some of our guys have been busy backfilling a basement, bringing in fill and building a retaining wall for a home to suit the new elevations. This customer had water issues in the basement so the home had to be brought up 6 feet. The retaining wall may not be up to Trump’s standards but it certainly works here.

A little switcheroo from GMO to non-GMO corn today. We do custom combining and when we get customers with non-GMO product we have to make sure our combine, buggy and trailers are completely cleaned out from top to bottom. It’s a dirty job blowing out the combine so we let the boss do it since he’s so good at it. How is harvest going for everyone else? Are you all done for the year or maybe haven’t even started?
