The building, creating and designing using woodblocks. The children were given wooden blocks, allowing them to express their creativeness.
Dressing up With a little help, the children could be so creative with the materials.
2020 Costless Car It was interesting to see how the children use their creative ways to express in a variety of ways. The children used rollers and arranged them around and one of the children became the driver. In this manner, the children used rollers to incorporate into their play.
Bugs Children developing a sense of wonder for natural environment by exploring the logs and looking for bugs. They also displyed their curiosity for bugs and noticed that they did not harm any bugs instead they were very gentle. It was interesting to note how they build a home for bugsby using the bark of the log and putting some grass as their food.
Dinosaur A couple of children were crazy about dinosaurs thus we brought in a robot dinosarus to promote children's learning and curiosity. The children explored the robots dinos movement of tail and head, the manner it moved towards them and the sound. At the beginning, only the brave one touched the dino but later the other two gained the couraged to touch and play with it.
Raining days Although we stayed inside, the children had regular physical activity time. Children had opportunities to pass the ball around, jumping in the bag, catching the ball in a basket etc. this helped the children to understand taking turns, waiting for their turns, building relationships and of course release the energy.
Hiding place The children used the bricks to make their hiding place. A lot of teamwork was noted and each child had a hiding place for them. In this manner, the children learn to participate in the making of their hiding place, making their rules and understand each other's difference.
With the BC economy opening in different phases; we have one spot under 3years is available now. We are licensed multi age and registered in fees reduction program. Easter Due to pandemic, we had less children however the children had opportunities to enjoy different activities based on easter. We had circle based on theme easter, some bunny hops, easter egg hunt, matching eggs and some art activities. Easter hops were one of their favourite especially hopping with the basket without trying to drop any eggs.Through this activity, the children were able to feel confidence in and control of, their bodies while having physical activity and fun.
Earth Day During earth day week we discussed to recycling reusing and reduce. The children also had opportunity to plant some peas seeds and explore the nature.In this manner the children learned to respect and appreciate the nature. Further more, they also understood how their actions may affect the nature and the planet earth.
Hand washing I placed some glitter on my hands and gave high fives to everyone and then let them give high five to each other. Later I asked the children to check their hands and they were surprised and happy that they also got some glitter. I explained that those glitters represented the germs and that's how the germs as pass along from one child to another. Through this activity the children had opportunity to learn to keep themselves healthy and hygiene. It also promoted self -skills in washing hands and using their elbow (germ catcher) when coughing and sneezing.
Toyhouse Children engaged in collaborative play which also increases mastery over their bodies and daily routines. Such as they talk about going to washroom and washing hands; taking bath. The most amazing moments were when they pretend to be their parents.
Continued activities based on dinosaurs.
Working towards the journey to school Children are curious about alphabets and written language and feel happy once they were able to write a letter or hold the pencil correctly. Thus eager to write and explore more.

Dinosaurs During this play, the children had an opportunity to play as a team. They pretended to be dinosaurs and a couple of them could name different dinosaurs. Later the children played with the magnets and we read books regarding dinosaurs.
Snow Fun This year we had an opportunity to have fun with snow. although, we were not able to make a snowball however the children had an awesome time playing with snow. They threw snow on each other and make their own tracks. Some of the children made snow angel while others rolled on the snow. Later they enjoyed removing snow from their outdoor toys. During our circle time, we discuss what is snow, how does it taste and feel like and what happens to snow when it's warm? Some fo the answers were " snow clouds; It's soft and white; snow is Christmas...,

Lights This activity enhanced the children's creativeness, and able to explore the light. It was amazing to see how they join the rollers and put tea candles inside.
Halloween dress up Dressing up during Halloween helps the children boost their self-confidence and ability to understand their culture. Also enjoy the community activity.
