After hearing mor...e on MANDATORY early spay/neuter - I NEEDED to share this as Hypothyroidism almost killed our Gunner due to AGGRESSION. Many of us are finding a lot more time on our hands right now - we can use some of this to learn how to extend our canines health and well being by becoming their advocates. Please consider furthering your knowledge on Hypothyroidism in particular as it has over 70 different symptoms. Consider learning how it drastically affected our lives in it's progression. My Cavapoos - Kiki and Cayden This is the hardest thing I have had to do in my whole life! In spring 2017 I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, had surgery and some chemo and been in remission, until now. It has metastasized and I have been given 3 to 6 months. I am hoping to enjoy next summer and focused on that. I have two beautiful cavapoos (King Charles Spaniel/Miniature poodle mix), that are currently 20 months old, born on February 6 and 14th. They are a bonded pair, half-brother/sister. Kiki, the black one is larger and 20 pounds. Cayden, the fawn one is 14 pounds. They are the loves of my life. Super affectionate, joyful, playful. They are fixed, current on shots, and micro-chipped. They are used to running free in a large backyard and get all their exercise that way. They would need work with leash walking and unfortunately they get car sick a lot which I am trying to work on. I am looking for a family to be their forever home over the next months. I am looking for people who will walk this out with me, getting to know the dogs and the dogs becoming family with them. I am keeping them as long as I can. So it is sort of like fostering a bit with the final intent being adoption when I can no longer keep them. You will have previous experience with dogs and will take both and NEVER separate them. You will have a medium to large fenced in back yardCayden is a jumper! I am looking for people who are financially stable and wouldn’t think twice about investing a couple thousand into any emergency care for the dogs should that arise. They are young with a full life ahead of them. Kiki is a tomboy type of girl..a little goofy and loves to hug people around the neck. Cayden is a bit shyhave to draw him in, but also LOVES affection and attention. They have been introduced to friend’s dogs and do quite well around them after the initial hellos. Can you walk with me through this? Have visits and stay overs so you become extended family to them? When I go into hospice, agree to bring them for visits at least once a week?
