Our office will be closing at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon for a VIP guest - Maddie Little is turning 5 this weekend and she asked if she could come to the office for tea and cake! We look forward to hearing from you when we resume regular office hours on Monday morning.
Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
This past year has been such a challenge, and our employees stepped up in a big way. We are so lucky to have such an incredible staff and could not imagine our firm without our office family!!!
Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and online. Over the month of February, and throughout the year, CKNW Kids' Fund's Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness of these issues, as well as raise funds to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem. https://www.pinkshirtday.ca/
It is important to realize that effective co-parenting is in the best interests of children and it's wonderful to have such a program available to our community! Family Service Saskatoon also delivers counselling services, youth drop-in programs and many other excellent community programs.
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we wish you a happy new year! We have now resumed our regular office hours of 8:30 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 5:00. Thank you!
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Our office will be closed for the holidays on December 23rd. Our regular business hours will resume on January 4, 2021. We hope everyone stays safe over the holidays and we look forward to hearing from our clients in the New Year!
In lieu of sending our clients Christmas cards this year, we have decided to donate $500.00 to the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. We encourage anyone who is financially able, to donate, whether to the Food Bank or another socially conscious organization that can help our local community. There is nothing more fulfilling than helping someone in need! https://saskatoonfoodbank.org/donate
Little & Company LLP stands in support of Dr. Saqib Shahab. The racist comments made against him were, quite frankly, deplorable. Whether or not you agree with every decision he has made, it is undeniable that he has made incredible sacrifices to keep everyone in Saskatchewan safe. He has worked tirelessly, and has taken time away from his own family, to do his best to support our government officials and our healthcare system. Dr. Shahab, thank you for everything you have done for the people of Saskatchewan.
With Christmas approaching we would like to remind our clients that our last day of regular business hours will be December 22, 2020. We will be closed over the holidays with regular business hours resuming on January 4, 2021. Thank you for your continued support!
Please be advised that our office will be closing at 4:00 p.m. today for our annual children's Christmas party. Thank you for your understanding.
We hope all of our American friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving. While 2020 has certainly been challenging there are still many things to be thankful for. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!
This week is Transgender Awareness Week and as such we would like to highlight the success of Sarah McBride who is the first openly trans State Senator to be elected in the United States. While there has been much contention surrounding the recent presidential election, it is great to see this progressive change to the political landscape. We hope that Canada may also continue to increase diversity in our political representatives, whether they be trans, two-spirit, Indigenous, immigrants or any minority demographic. Equitable governance requires that those who take office should be as diverse as the constituents they represent.
Please be patient with us while our staff make their way to work this morning. Safety is the priority, which may mean opening late today. Stay safe everyone!
Just a friendly reminder that masks are now mandated in Saskatoon, effective today. Should you forget yours at home, we do have disposable masks available here for our clients' in-person meetings. We thank you all for doing your part!
Justice Graeme Mitchell has faced controversy in attending Tristen Durocher’s protest in Regina’s Wascana Park (a hunger strike raising awareness for the suicide rates plaguing our province), but could this be an example of a way in which Canadian and Indigenous justice can work harmoniously? The Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its final report in 2015 wherein one of its calls to action was to support the recognition, revitalization, and implementation of Indige...nous legal traditions. This call to action suggests that an important factor in attaining reconciliation is the application of both Canadian and Indigenous legal practices in concert. Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin has opined that all members of Canada’s judiciary should attain to be educated in Indigenous justice protocols. Some may question Justice Mitchell’s actions of accepting a sash bestowed upon him by Durocher, however it falls within Indigenous diplomatic protocols as a sign of mutual respect and reciprocity. As such, it is an acknowledgement of the Justice’s critical role in serving our society and his esteemed public standing. What are your thoughts on Justice Mitchell’s actions? Does visiting the demonstration following his ruling demonstrate bias? Or is this just an example of how the judiciary and Indigenous justice leaders can work towards reconciliation? We welcome contributions to this conversation, however we kindly request that everyone remain kind and respectful to one another.
Please be advised that our office will be closing today at 3 p.m. for a staff function. Our regular office hours will resume on Monday, November 2nd at 8:30 a.m. We thank you for your understanding. We hope everyone enjoys their Halloween festivities this weekend and remind everyone to stay safe during these unprecedented times. Happy Halloween!
Just a friendly reminder that our city's school zones are back in effect. While this fall's back-to-school has changed for many families and students, the city's school zone speed restrictions are once again in effect from September through June. Let's help keep our children safe, whether they have gone back to school in person or online.
With fall weather rolling in and Halloween approaching, check out some of the events our wonderful city has to offer!
We are going to take advantage of this gorgeous September afternoon with an ice cream break! We are going to close from 2 - 3 today, so you will be able to reach us later today.

Something to keep in mind before you take out a mortgage to pay your "Rock, Paper, Scissors" debts (at least in Quebec)!
