Throwback to the first lockdown when we repainted our kitchen! Loving the accent wall! Something to keep in mind, certain paint colours can take a minimum of 3 coats of paint to achieve your desired colour! Red is a perfect example. It contains extra pigments to get that rich colour, and this tends to make the colour bleed through lighter ones. This just means a little bit of extra work. But the end result is a rich beautiful colour! Lighting is so important when choosing a colour for your space! Walls that receive direct sunlight versus walls that don't can have a very different look even in the same room! In this photo the top portion of the wall above the accent colour, and the wall above the doorway are the exact same colour, though it may not look like it! One wall is getting direct sunlight while the other is not. This is why we always suggest bringing paint swatches into the room you want paint...ed. It helps to hold them up in different areas of the room to see how the light affects the colour.
