Little Bit of Lisa 15.03.2021

The silent treatment is toxic behavior. Let me repeat that. The silent treatment is toxic behavior. How can you possibly fix a relationship or solve an issue if... you aren’t communicating about it? It’s okay to take time to think and reflect, but using the silent treatment as a form of communicating is not communicating at all. Leaving things unsaid and mulling over them endlessly might feel easier in the moment, but it will be harder in the long run. Have the conversation. Establish boundaries. Share how you’re feeling. Ask them how they’re feeling. Go ahead. You know there’s someone you’ve been using the silent treatment on. I bet they popped into your mind as soon as you saw this post. Stop punishing them, or even yourself, and start communicating.
