You are invited to a weekend that will bring together the wonders of permaculture farming, Coyote Mentoring, and earth living skills. Topics and activities may include: edible and medicinal plants, wildcrafting, natural dye and fibre cordage, storytelling, farm activities, ancestral crafts and more! Delmar Williams will join us on Saturday for a workshop. WHEN: 9:30 AM April 11 to 1 PM April 12... Abundance Farm is a beautiful 40-acre property nestled into a picturesque valley just outside the town of Agassiz, BC, 1.5 hours from Vancouver. The land is the traditional territory of the Stó:l Nation and is presided over by majestic Mount Cheam and framed on one side by the mighty Fraser River. The farm is home to chickens, cats and a big friendly dog. ACCOMMODATION: When we are not on the land, we will meet at the big barn. This is a renovated dairy barn that will serve as both a meeting place and a sleeping place. There are four dormitories with eight twin-size bunk beds in each, and eight barntastic private rooms with double or queen-size beds. There are washrooms in the barn that include showers. Please supply your own bedding (pillows, sheets and blankets or sleeping bags) and towels. *** Please note the rooms will not be heated. MEALS: Please supply your lunch for Saturday afternoon. You will have full access to the kitchen to prepare your lunch or snacks. On Saturday night we will connect with our food and our community as we join together in a feast. We will provide the main course for our feast, but we ask that you bring a side dish to share. We encourage you to bring a meal that is special to your family. Perhaps a dish that has been in your family from many generations. On Sunday morning, you will awake to a beautiful, buffet style breakfast. COST AND REGISTRATION: Registration closes March 30. $120 for adults $70 for kids (age 3 and younger are free) We invite families to participate in activities together. Children are free to run from one activity to another, keeping in mind that the village will keep an eye out for them, but it is ultimately the parent's responsibility to know their whereabouts. Places are limited, early registration is suggested *Includes: Dinner and Breakfast, Accommodation and mentorship.
