Happy St Patrick’s Day! Are you looking for a fun craft to do with your little one? Try this super cute shamrock handprint with non-toxic paint! Here’s what you need to make the paint: ... 1 cup salt 1 cup flour 1 cup boiling water Green food colouring Instructions: 1. Blend flour and salt in a larger bowl 2. Add boiling water and mix until smooth 3. Add food colouring and mix 4. Allow to cool before use! To make the handprint shamrock you will need: White card stock Green paint Black marker Instructions 1. Apply paint to your little ones hand 2. Press firmly on your card stock with fingers slightly open. 3. Repeat until you have 4 handprints in a shamrock shape. 4. Wash hands! 5. Draw a stem on the bottom of your handprints 6. Write name, date, and at Patrick’s day message Your done! Be sure to let your craft dry thoroughly before touching it. Want to use organic dye instead? Easy! For organic green food dye you will need: one cup of spinach (or any dark, leafy green ) 1/2 cup of water In a small saucepan, simmer your spinach and water for 2-3 minutes, uncovered. When completely soft, use an immersion blender to completely purée your spinach and pass through a sieve to get rid of any large chunks left over.
