For me, Brady and GMC both won LVI last night. GMC was not only funny but most importantly it not only tapped into the competitive nature of the Super Bowl but also America's desire to be the biggest and best at everything too. Farrell's comedic, but serious open challenge to the US public to own more electric vehicles per capita than current leaders, little old Norway (or was it Finland or Sweden?), perfectly captured the not only the mood of competition but also the drive t...o be kinder to our planet. The fact that it was funny and self-effacing too ensured it pipped Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade (good job at poking fun at 2020), Toyota (overly sentimental, tenuous link to product, but beautiful nonetheless) and Anheuser-Busch (I missed this one last night). Oh and Tide too, as I'm still a huge Seinfeld fan. https://www.sportingnews.com//su/jbydy9zh3m1614cs91qaaif8d

As a member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, we have just dialed in to a webinar with Tiff Macklem, Governor of the Bank of Canada. He stressed that the biggest driver of sustainable economic recovery is increased exports, especially to new and emerging markets. The Governor showed charts which indicated that across Canada, the export of goods has faired better than services since March 2020; this is a reverse of what we witnessed after the 08/09 Global Financial Cris...is (see chart below). With the above in mind, I would like to draw your attention to a post I made a few weeks ago and encourage any small business owner either currently exporting or wishing to commence, to visit the following website to explore whether they qualify for funding of up to $75,000 via the federal CanExport SMEs program. https://www.tradecommissioner.gc.ca//c/sme-pme/index.aspx
