Made myself a shirt today! I have been planning and dreaming of an NWO family line for so so long. So many of you have asked for some outdoorsy mama wear. Since the extreme cold warning ended today here's a sneak peek of an idea I want to bring to life. We are in the design phase at the moment but will be posting the full line soon! REOPENING DAY + 3RD ANNIVERSARY After almost 8 weeks of lockdown, we are allowed to reopen our doors to the public today! The last couple of months have been full of uncertainty. In my last post in early January I shared how I was struggling with some health issues. I am not 100% yet, but the time off of work has allowed me to do some further research on how to heal my body and rest from such a stressful year 2020 was for my business. I have a medical team helping to pinp...oint exactly what is going on and I appreciate their help very much. We believe I may still be experiencing a spinal fluid leak from my epidural gone wrong in January 2019 so I am waiting on an MRI appointment. The longer I am upright during the day the worse my symptoms get so I am choosing to be gentle with myself and accept that I have limits to what I can do. I've learned throughout this ordeal that I am one tough cookie (most days!). I have great days and difficult days but I am determined to grow my business while I work through it all. On a positive note February 14th was our THIRD business anniversary! How crazy! Thank-you all for your support over the last few years. Though half of 2020 was spent with our doors closed from mandatory lockdown and the same with the first part of 2021, I am so proud of what we have built in Dryden and it wouldn't be without the help of our amazing customers! Here's to many more years of growth and exciting announcements! When I sewed my first baby beanie from my kitchen table in 2015, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would build Little Mod Nest to what it is today. We have visitors from all over our region coming to support us and I could just cry thinking about how amazing it is! I am feeling really good today and excited to get back to work and serving the community with some adorable baby items. We have a new business name sign being made for outfront of the building, summer items from small companies heading our way, and some exciting plans in the works for our Little Mod Nest clothing brand! This week we will be open from 12pm-5pm as I have a few appointments in the morning to finish up before I am back to our normal 10am-5pm hours next week! We have some new arrivals in store including some adorable hoodies and sleepers with cute vegetable quotes on them. Can't wait to get back to visiting with everyone and seeing your faces! New in store today! Made in Dryden by My Boys & Me. Look at these amazing wooden handpainted roadway blocks. So so cool! I purchased a set for my kids for Christmas. A great open ended toy for children to enjoy. The 12 piece set includes 8 small and 4 large pieces to build roadways of all shapes. 3 sets available in store this weekend.

Oh my! I am so excited to open all of these tiny wooden figurines! Dinosaurs, farm animals, sea creatures, and woodland animals will be on display for purchase very soon! Hand crafted and hand painted in an ethical facility with trees being replanted for every toy made.

It’s an exciting day here in the store! Our big shipment of wooden toys have arrived as well as the shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, and hand soap for the refill station! I have a very busy few days ahead of me! I absolutely love my job. I will be responding to customer messages and emails this evening.

Sometimes my small business doesn't always involve hanging up tiny baby clothes and organizing tiny shoes and wooden toys. Sometimes it looks like making a mess building a new display shelf mid afternoon for those baby shoes! I absolutely love my "job", but sometimes it truly does challenge my skills lol! On an exciting note, the cork slippers from Soft Soul arrived this afternoon and Nooks wool booties will arrive tomorrow to fill this new shelf alongside the slippers. So exciting!

Oh man! Good evening to all of you wonderful people! I am so excited to announce that these beautiful toques will be arriving to us in early November. Little Buck is a Canadian company with ethical product production practices. How ADORABLE are these?! Will be available in rust, navy, blush, and charcoal. Sizes range from newborn-adult.

Just arrived. These baby books are seriously even better than I imagined! They have so many spots inside to document many different memories and photos. A spot to write a letter to baby before they’re born, places for birth weight, length, etc., and even a place for a photo of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th birthday. Even the paper feels luxurious.
