Little Passengers Car Seat Safety 11.02.2021

[Clek Oobr - Thunder] A booster has a minimum requirement of 4 years, 40 lbs and 40 but did you know that not every child that meets even one of these requirements is ready for a booster? Some kids still don’t have proper belt fit with a booster. Kids also need to be very mature while riding in the car. No constant moving around or unbuckling the seat belt. Keeping them harnessed as long as possible is the safest option of the 2. I recommend a minimum of about 5/6 years old ...around 50/55 lbs, with proper belt fit for going into a booster. Let us know if you have any questions regarding booster readiness or any other car seat concerns. We’re always here to help. Did you know that 9/10 car seats are used or installed incorrectly? Our mission at Little Passengers is to ensure your child’s maximum safety. Common car seat mistakes: lncorrect recline position More than 1 of movement in both front to back and side to side movement of car seat Use of both Lower Anchors(LUAS) and vehicle seat belt connection Incorrect chest clip position, harness shoulder height, tightness and twists using harsh chemicals and improperly cleaning methods Let us help you in keeping your Little Passengers safe! ------------ #baby #babiesrus #buybuybaby #carseat #carseatsafety #certified #cpst #dadlife #gta #inspections #installations #littlepassengerssafety #lpsafety #love #mom #momlife #momming #safety #toronto #toddler #torontomoms #vaughanmoms #rear facing #cleangear #helpingparents #babygear #clek #foonf #clekyourride #clekadventure @clekinc See more

[Evenflo Everystage - Grey] Not question I get asked the most is when it’s safe or recommended to turn a child forward facing. No matter what the law is. A child should be rear facing until they outgrow the rear facing position by either height or weight. Rear facing is the safest position for your baby/ child. No matter how scrunched up their legs are, kids are squishy and comfortable. To be honest they don’t know know that forward facing is even an option. Forward facing ...them too soon will definitely cause the much dreaded head slump (there’s no fixing that) and they can also potentially feel pins and needles in their legs from hanging down for long periods. Sometimes depending on a families situation they may have no choice to put their child forward facing and that’s Okay! If you have any questions, let us know! We’re always here to help. REPOSTED @clekinc When puzzling , here are 6 tips to keep in mind - beyond just reading your vehicle and car seat manuals: 1. Decide which position makes the most sense for each child logistically (how easily can you get each them in/out of their seat?). ... 2. Plan for a seatbelt install from the get-go. It’s unlikely that you will be able to install 3-across with LATCH. 3. Forward-facing seats need to have a top tether anchor available - you should ALWAYS use a top tether. 4. Start with the middle seat. 5. Make sure the seats are installed independently, without bracing or pushing into one another. 6. Car seats should NEVER be installed side-by-side if the seat belt placement means one seat belt is interfering with the other seat belt. If you’re trying out your own experiment, just remember that these tips and recommendations may work in one car and not in another. We suggest consulting with a CPST to help work with your family’s needs and the vehicle you drive prior to making a purchase.
