As we get many visitors from around the province and over the border once it opens, Little Red Bay Marina will be closely following the recommended guidelines for protecting not only our staff but also our valued customers. We will be open with reduced hours and functionality, but we WILL be open and look forward to seeing everyone this season (from a safe distance), please contact us for the latest update on our store hours. You are welc...ome to drop by, but please keep in mind the following changes to our policies and services: -The Marina building and washrooms are closed to the public. The store is still open to curbside pick-up. (Call for info about shipping) -There is no fishing from the docks until social distancing restrictions have been lifted. -As always, only the fuel attendant is allowed to operate the gas pumps, and nobody can be on board the craft while fueling, in addition to this please stay 2 meters away from the fuel attendant, and allow clear access to and from the boat while fueling. -Only one family group allowed on the docks at a time, please wait until the docks are clear before accessing your boat. -The boat ramp will remain open to general public with a $10 fee, if the ramp is occupied please wait your turn, inside your vehicle -Marina staff will not be able to assist you with your boat, please bring enough help to safely handle your craft. -While we are more than happy to provide access to the water, there is no access permitted to the joining properties, the shoreline, beach and playground equipment located at Evergreen Resort are off limits, no exceptions. -Those not respecting our temporary policies will be asked to leave the property until restrictions are lifted. Please support us as we strive to provide fun and safe access to the water, be respectful and make every effort to maintain physical distancing. This mama goose decided to make their nest on the breakwall of the marina. They weren't happy about us working next to the nest but wasn't willing to leave the eggs.

Many of our guests are wondering why we do not have answers as to when we will be open this year. For Mike and I the question isn't just when but IF we will be ...open this year. YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US! We do not want anything to happen to any of our guests because of our actions. Unlike many businesses you are extended family to us. Our children grew up with many of you. Mike's parents knew your parents, and now many of your children are bringing their children. We simply could not live with ourselves if something happened to you. Evergreen is ALSO OUR FAMILY HOME. It is true Mike and I have moved off the property due to my worsening health, but Mike still goes to work every day. If we open will he be able to come home? Then there is Becca and her famly, Rachel and her family, and Darcy and Max. That is not even thinking of keeping our staff safe. Will we be able to self distance which will be a requirement when they open up our sector which is in the third stage, the last stage. Just think there still will be no pool opened, no sitting by the fireplace, no dance night, no sing-a-longs, no activites inside the resort. No card night with Mike.s freshly made cookies. No Friday night showtime with Sticky Buns. No large family tables in the dining room. Not so many in the dining room. It breaks my heart thinking about it. However I will be happy to know that if I don't get to see you this year I will next year 2021. So lets hope for the best. Keep safe, happy and healthy. Take care, Debbie See more

Press Release 13 AMENDED May 15, 2020 at 2:15 pm As the Province begins to relax the restrictions put in place due to the COVID19 pan...demic, many of our businesses will open their doors for the first time in months. We continue to take measures to keep our community safe while making it possible for people to begin to start their lives, realizing a new normal. BEACHES, SHORELINE PARKS AND BOAT LAUNCHES At this time, there is a Public Health Order in place which keeps our beaches, and parks beside a shore, CLOSED-this includes Sauble Beach and Bluewater Park. Boat launches are open except Bluewater Park which remains closed. By-Law enforcement is patrolling and will ticket anyone who is in a closed area. We thank you for being respectful of the Order and our enforcement officers. PAID PARKING AT SAUBLE BEACH We have decided that we will not enforce the Paid Parking program at Sauble Beach until June 27. This program usually begins on June 1 however we realize that these have been challenging times and we want to support our businesses as they begin to slowly open for the summer season. There will be no charge for parking until June 27. FIRE BAN Today the Ministry of Natural Resources lifted the Bruce Peninsula Fire Ban. Effective May 16 at 12:01 am, you are now free to have bonfires but please remember they are to be contained to a 2ftx2ft pit and never leave a burning fire unattended. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in South Bruce Peninsula for your patience and support of one another as we navigate through this pandemic. Now more than ever we need to be vigilant and remember that as our community begins to open, we are all in this together. Practice physical distancing, wash your hands, wear face protection and stay safe. Janice Jackson, Mayor Town of South Bruce Peninsula
