It's always exciting when the tractor starts plowing up the fields in spring Even the chickens were lined up at the fence watching the action!

Market is on today rain or shine! Farmers (and their dogs!) work rain or shine to grow and harvest the delicious food and beautiful flowers you buy every week. Don't let the weather deter you; please come support us and buy those things we work so hard to grow

We got jars! Yay! Thank you so much to everyone who has been returning jars for us to reuse; we are definitely back in business now. If you want to keep returning jars to us we will absolutely still take them, and they WILL be used. We will also be launching a punch card soon which will reward you with a free jar of product for every so many jars returned. Thanks for being such a great community . . . I always know autumn has arrived when the smells coming from the kitchen turn from summer berry jams to roasting tomatoes and apples with cinnamon.

Awesome helpers peeling onions and garlic for sweet and spicy onion marmalade. They just love being a part of everything we do on and with the farm And yes the safety goggles are to help protect his eyes from the onions

Sometimes the simplest dinners are the best! Good old bacon sandwich using homemade sourdough bread and a beautiful garden tomato accompanied by side of farm fresh corn on the cob: just what the doctor ordered after a LONG day of canning

Did you know we love to recycle??? Anytime you want to return plant pots, egg cartons, or canning jars, we will happily take them and reuse them. We are particularly interested in canning jars right now. Apparently there is a shortage of canning jars due to Covid, so we are having trouble sourcing any at the moment. If you have any kicking around feel free to drop them off to us at the Goldstream or Metchosin Farmer's Market or at the farm stand at 3564 Happy Valley Rd. Thanks

One of my all time favorite summer meals: Bruschetta topped pork chop! Nothing beats tomato, onion, garlic and basil all from the farm and married together with a little balsamic vinegar . . . Put it on top of a grilled pork chop and it's perfection

You just never know what a day on the farm will bring!

The first steps of tomato based products have begun! I can't wait to offer fresh batches of Apple BBQ sauce and Blueberry BBQ sauce at markets this month! Ultimate farmer Sunday brunch! Home grown cantaloupe and strawberries, farm fresh poached eggs, home made hollandaise made from farm fresh eggs, and even a homemade sourdough English muffin. The bacon is the only thing not homemade or farm fresh

Looking for something different for dinner? We have some oversized patty pan squash on the stand for $1 each and they are super delicious when stuffed! We also happen to have oversized zucchini on the stand for only $2 each!

Why yes that is a mason jar of wine in my hand! It's 7:30 in the evening and I'll be picking blackberries until it is too dark to tell if they are ripe A farm girl's got to do what a farm girl's got to do

For the jam lovers out there, I'm sad to say we will be unable to provide jam at the roadside stand for the time being. It will still be available for sale at the Goldstream Farmer's Market and the Metchosin Farmer's Market. In addition we do take orders so if you can't make either market, feel free to send us a private message here and we'll arrange a pickup for your order.
