Update;: FOUND!!!!. She just knocked on the door to be let in. Shes all wet so I'm guessing she hid in the grass at the back somewhere. until safe to come out.... Thank you everyone for your kind words, prayers, positive thoughts and some that actually drove around at the ungodly hour. _-----_----------: Took my great Dane out to pee while the fireworks were let off and she bolted . 125lbs black blue great Dane . Answers to Tia. She is not a wanderer but will go find a corner to hide. I have checked all the sheds and garage on the property but no luck. We are north on mono amaranth townline closer to side road 10. She is truly a gentle giant.

I regretfully have to let you all know that we will be unable to reopen the SHELBURNE DOG WALKING portion of our business. These past few months have been difficult for all of us, and the parameters currently in place in regards to reopening and going forward are comprehensive to say the least. But beyond that, with understandably no need for our services currently, we cannot ask our walkers to bide their time and wait, potentially passing on other more lucrative opportunitie...s that may come along. Nor do we want them to feel put at risk in the current environment. Our foremost goal has always been to provide a professional service with walkers who truly enjoy their job. So, to that end, after 16 years of pet sitting and dog walking in Shelburne and the surrounding area, we must say our goodbyes. We thank you for your trust in us, and we thank your furbabies for always being so easy to love. We will carry you all in our hearts and memories for years to come. We wish you all the very best. ( The Shelburne Boarding Facility remains open and ready to serve you, as does the Orangeville Dog Walking/Pet Sitting. This announcement only effects our Shelburne clients. ) See more

** Warning to anyone who walks there dogs down by the river on Price of Wales road/ just down from Hwy 10. ** After the bend on Prince of Wales Road where the b...ridge is, you can park off to the side. If you go down the trail right in the parking area to the river please keep an eye out! Yesterday my dog ate what looked like poop right on a rock by the river bank.... unfortunately it was a concoction someone made of cannabis to poison dogs. The emergency vet says they see it all the time now, people making concoctions and putting them a dog parks and trails. I went back there this morning at sunrise with paper towel and a bag and spray to find it and clean it up! Please keep an eye out! Know the signs of poisoning in dogs. P.s my dogs okay! He’s still recovering... he had it pretty bad and we thought he actually had a stroke originally because we never would have thought poisoning until we rushed him to the vet and he got tested.... so that poop was indeed not poop after all....

Good evening all! A client is looking for more information on the use of hemp oil/cbd oil in regards to calming a dog dealing with sudden onset blindness and nighttime restlessness. What are your experiences?

Could it be that, in this maelstrom of cries for job security and fast access to EI, some may not realize what it means to be self employed? For many of us, ou...r businesses were a thought or a dream that was long held and turned over in our minds before we finally got the courage to leap into entrepreneurship. We had to consider the risks, the financial gamble, the insecurity of month to month income and balance that against the hope that this idea of ours would succeed. And once committed, we nurtured these businesses like fledgling children fussing over them, over thinking every eventuality, pouring money and sweat and energy into them to try to make them succeed. Our businesses perhaps stumbled at the beginning or needed extra time to come to fruition, but the joy and pride we have in them is unequivocal. These businesses are more than just a brick and mortar establishment, they are more than just a vehicle with fancy graphics or flashy business card. They are proof of what hard work, quick thinking, a little luck and a whole lot of drive can accomplish. They are a part of us. And they are struggling. This pandemic of COVID-19 has brought so many of us to our knees. The ghost town that has resulted may spell the end of some of our livelihoods. Those businesses that we have nurtured and helped grow are now sick and dying and there is nothing we can do about it. And yet we don’t blame you. We understand that this isn’t the fault of our clientele. Cancelling services and staying home are steps we understand. We also have loved ones we want to protect and understand the fear and helplessness that many of you feel. How finances become foremost in your mind and those extras like hairstyles, dog walking or renovations are things that are first to be cut from your list. And we don’t want you to feel guilty about putting your families first. But while those cries go forth to the media about getting easier access to EI so that people can make their rent and mortgage payments, and guaranteed job security for those effected those measures don’t protect us, the small business owners and those self employed. The most we’ve had suggested to us is access to low interest loans to get us through this pandemic. If the government were to say to you that those EI days that are being bandied about would be ones you as a worker would have to pay back to the business afterward, with only a moderate interest rate would that sound like help to you? Many of us, regular workers and self employed, live a hand to mouth existence with only the slimmest of margins. How will this government help us keep our doors open, our families secure in our own homes and provide us with solid options going forward? When many of us are home, practicing social distancing, our farmers are out checking on their livestock and placing orders for the coming growing season in the hopes they can get the hands they need to make it happen; those that deal predominantly in vacation clientele are fielding calls and cancellations at all hours of the day; the people we trust to clean our homes can only clean their own now as work dries up; our pet care providers sit on the sidelines as demand dwindles. The thing is, this will be over at some point. Maybe a few weeks. Maybe a few months. And then when we all look up and try to find our normal again, Don’t be surprised if we arent there.

We will continue our care, as well as restock supplies as needed, until you are able to make it back.
