**BOXING DAY ANNOUNCEMENT** Seasons greetings to all We hope this finds you contentedly contemplating how completely full of life and love you are despite the complicated time we find ourselves in. ... As is our tradition, we will be celebrating Boxing Day at Lucid again this year. We will still be throwing down that 40% off most our goods (with a few exceptions and a few rad door crashers). However, there will be a few adjustments as we try to manage our attendence respectfully and safely. This year, you will be greeted outside by the Hamiltons, newly wedded darlings of the local rockclimbing, MTB and theatre communities. They will be selling tickets for 20 minute shopping time slots during the day (10am to 10:20am, 10:20am to 10:40am...you get the drift). Tickets are $2 each and 4 tickets, one per person, will be available for each time slot. Tickets will go on sale at 9:45am. Doors will be open from 10am to 6pm. All proceeds from the tickets will go to the Nanaimo SPCA in honour of our late, great, Chief Barking Officer and SPCA alumni, Skippy. Every ticket purchase will also be rewarded with a treat from Serious Coffee. While this all may seem a little complicated, we would really like to avoid making you wait in line for uncomfortable amounts of time. In December. During a pandemic. We know most folks have made sacrifices to stay isolated this holiday. We would like to respect your health and well being while still giving you the opportunity to catch a sick deal. I'm not telling you what to do, but if you have three friends who you'd like to hang with for a spell, come down early and grab four tickets for the time slot of your choosing during the day. Then mask up and meet up at Lucid to get your physically distanced shop on for those 20 minutes. We'd be happy to host you and hear you share some festiveness with your hand sanitized mates. Our sale will continue for the rest of Boxing Week until December 31st. Depending on demand, we may repeat the ticketing on December 27th as well. However, we will likely operate as usual with limited capacity for the rest of the week. We can also make private evening shopping appointments. Just hit us up in DMs.
