Look at my beautiful mama She gave me no direction at this appointment, she sat down and said "do something you are wanting to try or something to make me look good" Honestly, this my favorite thing my friends or family to say (or if I've been doing your hair for a long time) because I get to be creative and try something I've been wanting to try or do something they might have never thought of doing but I think will look amazing!! ... It gets me to think about what I think would look good on them and it might open their eyes to a color or style they would've never thought of! Now, don't get me wrong if you're a new client and tell me this I'll probably ask you a million questions and feel like I'm interrogating you! I want to make sure you're still going to LOVE what you walk out with so the 3rd degree is a little needed. I'll ask what is too short or what color is an absolute no and what would be pushing the envelope and what would be completely okay! Love the support from my mom and all of you! I think we all need to hear this a little more often This is my lock screen wallpaper right now! Sometimes I don't even know what to say or what to think anymore! These times are just so hard and unpredictable for so many people. I feel like I want to talk about other things than what is going on in the world right now but there is really nothing else to talk about. Brunettes!! Sometimes ashy tones need to be darker to make sure there is absolutely no warmth in the hair! Ashy tones will normally look darker when they are first done because ashy tones absorb light and warm/natural tones reflect light, so even though two blondes are they same level the warm blonde will look lighter!... These tones might also look darker because I might have to tone down (go a little darker) to cover the warmth! If you're looker for a bright blonde but no warmth, I'd suggest a little bit of warmth and do a more natural tone like a beige-y tone! . . . Book online to make an appointment! Honey tones This is a prime example of sometimes hair doesn’t do what we want it to. This wonderful client wanted super ashy, white blonde balayage. During the consultation she said she hasn’t touched her hair since the last time she lightened it so everything I would be putting bleach on was virgin hair! ... She told me that other stylists have promised her white blonde and then she’d always leave like her before picture. I explained to her that I would be communicating with her the whole way and how light she was getting and hope for the best, but I wasn’t going to put the hair color first. Integrity of the hair (how little damage there is) will always be my first priority! I would try my hardest to get her as light as possible. Now, you can see in the after pictures her hair didn’t get much lighter than what she had before. We brought it up higher, got a little lighter, and toned out the brass. She understood her healthy hair was more important and loved the result, but this won’t be the final result. Hey everyone!! I wanted to show you all the colors my hair has been (or at least the ones I can find pictures of haha) So, 1st picture is high school grad: long, black hair. Then I wanted to not have black hair anymore, so the process begins! 2nd picture: in college orange hair!! Black hair and going lighter is no joke! I didn’t like the orange so the next day is the ... 3rd picture: dark brown! At least it’s not black anymore!! Also a huge chop, I hate seeing damage in my hair so I’ll cut it off 4th picture: almost done college, darker (but not black) and short! Now I decided I wanted to be blonde 5th picture: blonde, short and damaged! This took 3 full head of foils to get this light and I didn’t like seeing the damage (which a little bit is going to happen when you go blonde but I have a lot more knowledge now on how to keep my hair as healthy as possible! Aveda color is also amazing!!) so I coloured it again! 6th picture: light brown and purple/pink underneath! (At one point I put blue underneath too) Loved this! Gave me a pop of color without being too drastic! 7th picture: covered up the color and got a balayage! Just a couple lighter pieces, gave me dimension. 8th picture: what I have today! Blonde again and short again but SO much healthier this time!! So when I say that going black to anything else is a process I mean it and I know what you’re going through because I’ve been through it!! Also, after trying to find all these pictures I realize I need to take some more pictures of my life What is your favorite hair color/length I’ve had?

2020 was weird! This year was so strange but honestly looking back at probably one of the best of my career! I have the best coworkers and the best bosses who make me love going to work! Working at @hairhouseyeg makes my job feel like a hobby. I love my job! we are a family and I wouldn’t want it any other way! My clients were/are amazing! Your continued support thorough this crazy year was so lovely and needed! I miss you all dearly and can’t wait to get back behind the c...hair!! It was SO hard to pick only 9 but these were some of my favorite colors I did this year! Some were crazy 4-5 hour transformations and others were more simple root touch ups but still were fantastic!!
