Gun owners are against gun violence, probably more so than anti-gun people, because we have more at stake if gun violence happens. We were appalled by what happened in NS, and we were appalled by what happened in Montreal 30 years ago. We are appalled by all the mass shottings in the USA. We are appalled by the illegal guns in the hands of criminals killing innocent Canadians that make all legal gun owners look bad simply by association of the guns. We are also appalled that ...in the so called interests of public safety, the LPC wants to ignore criminals completely, and spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars going after legal gun owners. You don't stop speeding by pulling over people driving the speed limit do you? There are no suggestions of adding new layers of laws to prevent the thosuands of opiate deaths that happen every year in Canada are there? So why the double standard? Fear. The LPC and PM Justin Trudeau are using fear to divide Canadians to obtain votes. That is what this comes down to: votes, and getting re-elected. The LPC, the PM, and his Minister of Public Safety henchman, are flat out lying to Canadians. Lying. Demonstrably and intentionally lying. This isn't about preventing shootings, because these guns aren't the problem. It is about buying votes after they have scared you into thinking these guns are fully automatic death machines, nothing else. Not one shooting will be stopped with this ban. If you are against wasting another billion dollars or so on another failed LPC gun boondoggle (last being the 3 billion that was wasted on the scrapped Long Gun Registry), and want that money spent going after actual criminals, please sign this petition, and let the PM know. After some deliberation, we have decided to suspend all courses until further notice. Sitting in a classroom in close proximity to 6-8 other people is exactly what we are trying to avoid at the moment, even with the small class sizes we maintain. Would rather be accused of over-reacting than help spread the virus. :) Take care. Outdoor ranges are still good to go to! :)
