Covid19 changed our plans last year and made us cancel our event. So this year, we needed to find a way to come back stronger and better. Hats off to the speakers who continued to work with us as we turned this event virtual. A BIG shout out goes to @blakeproductionsltd, our tech support, for helping us turn a regular zoom call into an interactive experience for 950 students across BC. ... And finally, to @sag_saxena for having the vision and bringing together our @yellcanada team/family so that we could co-create #icubedsummit the virtual edition. Cheers also to the best co-host that always brings the fun & frills, @dancinwayne !

Another mentoring group happening in Northern BC with the amazing Bobbi Carpino. Here are some words about it from her: I (Bobbi Carpino) am thrilled to be facilitating another fabulous virtual Peer Mentoring Group with Women's Enterprise Centre, starting March 15th. I have seen first hand the difference these groups have made for those who have participated in them. Each mentee has an opportunity to share an challenge or opportunity they are faced with in their business. ... As a group, we get curious, ask lots of questions and share ideas. The following meeting, the mentee comes back with what they worked on. Maybe you don't have a particular challenge or opportunity that you can think of. That is okay, you will likely think of something that you want to work on with the support of 6-7 other fabulous entrepreneurs. Applications will open starting on Monday for 5 days only. If you know of a female entrepreneur who needs a little extra support, and we all do, please send this to her. I hope to see some familiar faces!

If you have a grade 9, 10, 11 student, get them to ask their school to sign them up! The event is to kickstart and expose youth to innovative businesses, help to grow their entrepreneurial growth mindset, introduce students to different career paths and show them how skill stacking can be done even in high school. I can’t wait to interview the line up of speakers. It’s open to all of BC. For Northern BC students, you get an extra special treat when your classes sign up! ... Event is March 3, 2020 from 9am-2pm.
