I found this super-cool frost pattern on my lettuce and onion cold frames this morning. I think it looks like a tree. Do you? (The lettuce doesn't care, it's cold. And maybe done. The onions, however, are tough as nails! I've been harvesting green onion all winter.) #treeoflife #winterveggies #wintergardening #coldframe #frostymorning #greenonion
Who doesn't love getting garden progress photos from previous installs?!? While this was a pretty small garden for us (another one of our "in and out in under a day" projects), it was still a fun project and I was very pleased with how it turned out from the beginning. Even better, I was able to communicate my intentions for it with my intrepid crew leader Stef and she interpreted my instructions and knocked it out of the park! #awesomecrew #girlpower #raingarden #pollinatorfriendly #beegarden #butterflyfood
Winter planter installation commitments almost filled now. I still have some stock and a week left if anyone wants their own bespoke planter that will last until April! #christmas #planters #winterplanters #oshawa #whitby #ajax #stouffville #uxbridge #toronto
What a fun collaboration with Peter Boychyn and his crew to add the finishing touches to their project. I have never had such an easy time "planting a tree". Brock is a master with his machine- all I needed to do was make sure the tree was straight! It's so rewarding to highlight their hardscape handiwork with some finishing details in just a few hours. #cooperation #planting #curbappeal #finishingtouches #hardscape #naturalstone
Loving the layers of purple in this garden. Featuring Allium "Purple Sensation" and Cercis canadensis with a jolt of Lantana to attract even more pollinators! #beefriendly #allium #cercis #polinators #perennials
What a crazy season so far! The weather has been very, very "springtime in Ontario" this year. Snow two weeks ago and now a week of 30C means we're planting annuals through tulips that are just reaching their peak, creating a wonderful orange layering effect in this garden.
