A Sun-Protective Diet? Sunscreen is critical (my favourite is shown below), but there are also other ways to give your skin extra sun-defense abilities this summer. Increase the lycopene, beta-carotene, and omega-3s in your diet. Studies have shown that all three of these nutrients decrease our susceptibility to sunburn. Try a meal of salmon, steamed spinach, and tomatoes drizzled in olive oil!
