1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptations have overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide, the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This verse can be broken down into two parts, where the verse speaks of the situations we are in and our ability to respond to those situations. As youth, we are faced with problems that we often feel is too much and ov...erbearing. Some tackle the issue heads on, but some do not and fall in the category of those who questions themselves and at times God. However, in this verse we can see that we are only placed in a situation that God knows we can handle. The situations that we are in are made so we are able to develop character, gain new strengths and abilities and have a closer relationship with God. This lets us know we have the ability and capacity to take a stand against any situation or temptations that we deal with. Another point this verse mention is how God places us in situations that are not uncommon to man, but surely your friends, family, classmates, teachers, etc has experienced something somewhat similar to yours. Not to desensitize one’s personal issues, but this lets us know we have people at our disposal to reach out to, that are living proofs and have experience with what you may be dealing with. If we have gone through so much already in our pasts, why would we lose sight in who God is today? Beyond what we are capable of or how relatable people are, this verse does embody God’s ability to provide you with comfort and endurance so we can continue to do the good works.
