One way to battle Mountain pine beetle!
Living Tree Environmental is always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly. For example, this lettuce roof gingerbread house landscaped with a forest of asparagus is part of our 2022 resolution. Happy New Year everyone and stay safe!
On behalf of the entire Living Tree team, have a happy and safe holiday season and a great 2022! Stay warm!
As another growing season comes to an end there are things you can do to get your trees ready for 2022 . The optimist must always believe that summer will come again :). 1. Provide deep watering to your trees before winter freeze up. Let's hope it rains as well!! 2. Layer down a nice healthy "donut" of mulch to protect and insulate your tree's roots.... 3. Leave the leaves alone!!. Keep them on the ground and even better blend or grind them into the soil or grass. This will help retain nutrients for next season. 4. Use mesh wire to protect your valuable trees from mice, rabbits, voles and to some extent deer and moose. 5. Reduce the usage of de-icing salts on your roads and sidewalks. Sand, gravel and even ash from the fireplace are less hazardous to the surrounding environment. 6. Prune your trees to remove dead, dying and rubbing branches during their dormant period. Enjoy the fall and winter season everyone because it is a great time to be outside. Don't hesitate to contact the friendly team at Living Tree for more advice about how to keep your trees healthy!!
