Living Waters Anglican Fellowship Kingston 10.05.2021

As you know, we have begun another province-wide lockdown that will last until the end of April. This means that we will be returning to online worship on Sunday mornings as of tomorrow morning--Easter Sunday. I am sure you share my disappointment to spend yet another Easter in lockdown. If we ever needed to hear the Easter message that Jesus' victory over death brings life, hope, and peace--it is now! After his death on the cross that first Good Friday, the Romans and re...ligious leaders of Israel thought they had Jesus locked down and sealed in a tomb. However, Jesus would not be locked down. Easter celebrates that on the third day, God announced His great reversal and up from the grave Jesus rose triumphant over darkness, sin, and death! The message of Easter is both simple and profoundChrist is risendeath could not hold Him; the tomb could not contain Him. Easter shows us that God’s love is a love that seeks us--even in the midst of a global pandemic. It’s a love that reaches into our everyday realityno matter what that reality isand lifts us from the pit of despair to solid ground. It shows us that despite what me might think, it’s never too late. With God, there’s always hope for a miracle, for renewed faith, and a fresh start. In fact, it’s often when we feel the most useless or ineffective; when everything seems to be going wrong; when we’re at our weakest and most confused; when life’s at its darkest; when all seems lost, that God finds us. God loves to take the Good Friday’s of our livesthat feel like the shadow of deathand turn them into Easter mornings, filled with new hope and new life. Even though we can't be together physically to celebrate this great truth, I invite you to join us tomorrow morning, Sunday, April 4 at 10:00 AM live on Facebook, as we celebrate the resurrection! The liturgy and weekly prayer sheet are available here: http://www.livingwaterskingston.com/live-stream-worship-li/

Please join us this morning either in person at the Senior's Centre or via livestream at 11:00 AM for our Good Friday service. This will be our last in person service until the province-wide lockdown, beginning tomorrow morning, is over at the end of April. In this observance of Jesus’ Passion, we celebrate our baptismal call to join in the suffering and death of Christ, as our only path to salvation. In meditating on Jesus’ Cross, we affirm our belief that through His deat...h and resurrection, we find eternal life. The liturgy for our worship and sermon handout to this email can be found here: http://www.livingwaterskingston.com/live-stream-worship.../ As we prepare to enter yet another lockdown, I pray that you would do so in sure and certain hope of the resurrection of Jesus!
