So, the Portage Farmers’ Market is up and running at the BDO centre, which is the one north on Tupper. Duhhh. I went to Stride place first. Anyway it’s opening and buzzing.
I will be at the Portage Farmers' Market tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the BDO Arena. Lots of food and craft vendors will be there following Covid-19 regulations; hope to see you there!
Something new is coming soon to the Portage la Prairie area. March 15 marks the launch of the shopping website ShopItLocal, where you can find and purchase products from local businesses. In the case of my stained glass, you can view and purchase items online, order and pay for them online, and then have the items hand delivered or pick them up at my home here in Oakville. ... I’m in the process of setting up my shop. Lots of others are doing the same. I hope it’s one more way for local people to buy local from home. Stay tuned. Cheers!
I’m starting to work on the Storm in the mountains . I’m just putting bevels around it and adding zinc frame.
It now appears that there will be almost no Christmas Craft sales this year. I'll be staying home creating more pretty items that will be good for gifts for any occasion. Keep an eye on this page. Cheers everyone.
Well, because of the uncertainty about life this year, three of the four Christmas craft sales I’ve signed up for so far this year have been cancelled. I still have hopes for Crimson & Twig at Confusion Corner on November 7 and maybe Oakville will have a sale this year. It all depends on current unknowns. It looks like Our Farm will have their market in early September too. I’m still making new one-of-a-kind pieces that you can see on this page. If anybody wants something pretty as a gift for themselves or someone else, I’m here! Stay healthy my friends.

Here are some items that I've decided to put a sale price on. I have been making these vintage sealer lid pieces for a long time now, and except for custom orders, I won't be making any more. The regular price for these is $40.00 each. They are now on sale for $30.00. Here are some photos. Colours are amber, dark brown, gray, mottled green, and maroon. If you want a better look, come over to 645-6th Avenue Oakville, or I can sent you a picture of the piece in a sunny window.

A sample of my stained glass. The focus is nature inspired, with natural elements (stone) and upcycled materials. Most items are one of a kind.

Another example of Queen Anne's Lace pieces. These were inspired by wallpaper I saw in the Lake District, UK at an old inn called The Mortal Man. I will make more, or give me a call, and pick colours.
