As many of you may have heard yesterday, new Provincial Health Orders were released to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. This most recent announcement has left many wondering what this means for our classes. At this point and time, it does not impact Little Kitchen Academy. Over the past year, we have worked diligently to keep our students, our instructors, and the entire LKA community safe. We have constantly reviewed and added to or amended our protocols in orde...r to keep our students, instructors and their families safe. Our COVID-19 plan is on our website for reference: littlekitchenacademy.com/about/faq/#!/question/1 We will continue to follow the BC Ministry of Health guidelines and update you if changes need to be made. We know this past year has been challenging and we want to thank you for trusting us with your child's safety. We are so impressed by our students and their commitment to keeping each other safe. They diligently wear their masks, stay physically distant, and have become experts at hand-washing! Even with the additional safety protocols, every day we see them having fun, learning practical life skills, and becoming empowered individuals. We are looking forward to a future when we don't have to wear masks so we can see our students' smiling faces and when we can all sit at the LKA Community Table together again, but in the meantime we will continue to do everything in our power to keep your child and our community safe. A glimpse at one of our amazing students. Chopping onions is VERY difficult- especially when you’re really close to the cutting board! This little chef is showing her biggest act of love- making a delicious broccoli cheddar soup hand pie to share with her family. She keeps going through her watery, uncomfortable eyes. She’s AMAZING.
