Homeschoolers in Guelph! I'll be hosting a kids' bookmaking project at the East Side Branch of the Guelph Public Library. Kids ages 6-12 can register for this 6 week program - with sessions every Thurs in Oct and first two Thurs of Nov from 2:30-4pm. The dates are Oct 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov 2, 9.... Another school project is finishing this week. We are in the final stages of putting the books together. The kids have written stories on an environmental theme and the books will be showcased at their school's Eco Fair this week. I'm attempting to reduce our consumerist footprint and provide healthier art materials by making home-made glue sticks ... and am hoping they will turn out!

I have availability on Tuesdays in May & June. Give me a shout if you are a Gr. 1-6 teacher in Guelph interested in having me in your classroom to do some bookmaking with your students. Or please spread the word to your teacher / parent friends! Each school visit is 25 hr over 4-10 sessions. It's really a wonderful and worthwhile project and I am surprised that I have had no interest expressed by any Guelph schools.

Assisting with the binding of an edition of hand-bound books on the theme of meditation, featuring Hamilton artist, Meena Dhar's beautiful woodcuts and pastel reproductions. Yet to be completed...but we're almost there.
