Update on FLC space: The FLC remains closed as a physical space, but we are very much still available to all students, faculty, and staff. Our librarians will be providing virtual instruction and research help to instructors, and are available for virtual research consultations with students. Can I complete Bloomberg Market Concepts online while the FLC is closed? Yes! You can register for, and complete BMC through the Bloomberg for Education portal at: https://www.bloomberg.com//prod/bloomberg-market-concepts/ Click on "Sign Up as Learner" and fill out the form. Once you are signed in, you can access the modules through there.... BMC is free to complete for current #UofT students! Just make sure to check "No" for the "Are you taking BMC as part of a class" section.

Attention Finance Students Registration for the Rotman Portfolio Management Competition is now open! This competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students from universities in Canada and the US. The competition will involve teams of up to 3 students using the Rotman Portfolio Manager (RPM) platform to manage an investment portfolio of securities listed in actual markets. This is a 5-month competition that allows both long and short positions. The top-performin...g teams with the highest risk-adjusted returns as measured by the Sharpe Ratio will be invited to give a presentation to our judges from the industry about their research and strategies, and the overall winner will receive a grand prize of $500 CAD as well as a trophy. Registration will be open until Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 and the competition will run from Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 to Friday, March 12th, 2021 with the final presentations on Friday, March 19th, 2021.
