We have just heard that scammers are now using the Lac La Biche County phone number asking for people to confirm their SIN numbers. No county will ever call and ask for that information. Please NEVER give your SIN number to anyone over the phone. Hang up and call the RCMP

New scam... I just got a call on the office phone that our computer is having "critical" issues. DO NOT give anyone remote access to your computer. Then they control everything on it.... Hang up. If your computer is popping up messages take it to the local computer store. They can help solve the issue.
