Want to try something new? Last month, I was part of the excitement on a team that was growing, developing, learning and all the while they were earning an income to support themselves, their families, their hobbies, etc... do you have any idea how incredible it feels to cheer people on as they work to be their best versions of themselves, knowing there is literally a payoff, a financial reward for them in the end? It’s a-m-a-z-I-n-g!... If you’re ready to jump in and grow with us, it’s great time to do it while the month is young and the spring products are about to launch. Ride this wave with me! And, this month you’ll receive this adorable (and bilingual) tote bag when you register for your Beauty Guide Kit. Totes adorbs! Get it? It’s something the cool kids say, or so the cool kids tell me.

Hey guys! And moms of teenage boys, and men and women who live with men with bacne... and guys who just like to be clean in general, I’m talking to you! I remember watching my guys go through that phase where their hormones were wreaking havoc on their skin and they started to break out. They were limited in their product selection because, let’s face it, most guys don’t want to be seen using something from a girly bottle. (Pssst... nobody really cares, guys. Smell like ros...es if you like it, it’s okay!) And the last thing they wanted was to acknowledge the problem and use something from the drug store that said the words ‘acne’ or ‘breakout’. We’ve addressed that with our Power Start face and body wash and Cool Down Face Balm. They both come in sleek black tubes, travel well and work to keep your skin in the clear. Are you a bar of soap kind of guy (no fancy body washes for you!)? We have our Farm to Tub Charcoal, Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil Soap. The ingredients work together to keep bacteria and dirt off the skin, great if you’re into avoiding the dreaded bacne bumps you might have in other places. We’re all grownups here! Need me to add one to my order tonight for you? Let me know by 6 pm!

Is the mic on? Can you hear me? Good WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES!!!! ... Your brushes are often your most overlooked makeup item, even though they should be at the top of your list for maintenance because they touch your skin and transfer dirt and bacteria with every swipe! Think about it, we use them to apply wet products like concealer and let them sit on our bathroom counters for weeks on end like a science fair experiment. Not...good.... Give your brushes a good cleaning at least once a week, and obviously more if you need to. They should never be stiff with product! The first picture is of how I roll up my towel so you can see the positioning. Always make sure your bristles are pointing down, so that water doesn’t pool in the ferrule/connection between the brush and the handle. I’m a diva so sometimes I blow dry mine but you totally don’t have to! I use warm running water and a cleanser like our Clean Act, I swirl the brushes around in water and then lather them up on the puck of cleanser and rinse them well, squeezing out any excess water. Did you know that Clean Act is made of coconut water, coconut oil and tea tree oil to help sanitize and condition your bristles? It’s great for cleaning your Blenderful too!

Let’s talk skin care (not skin care products)! We often think that the products we use are the only reason we have fabulous, or not so fabulous, skin. But, small changes to our everyday habits can also make a huge difference. Struggling with breakouts? Try some of these tips:... STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE! Seriously, don’t touch it. Throughout the day, be aware of whether or not you’re leaning on your hand, if you’re stroking your chin, if you’re just touching your face anywhere. Odds are you haven’t just washed your hands, so all you’re doing is depositing dirt and bacteria right onto your super absorbent skin. Wash your hands more. Yes, simply washing your hands more often with an antibacterial soap will help, especially if you’re a face-toucher. Keep your pillowcases clean. Sound strange? You probably don’t change your sheets every day, and you probably don’t wash your hair every night which means that when you turn onto your side at night, your face is absorbing any dirt/oil/bacteria left on your pillowcase. You don’t need to change them everyday, but make sure you do it weekly! Use a dedicated towel for your face. Don’t use the same towel your hubby uses to dry off after his shower, or the one hanging up near the sink that everyone uses to dry their hands. Just don’t! Put a clean towel that’s just for your face in a drawer so it’s just for you and change it frequently, a towel is absorbent which means bacteria will grow on it no matter how clean you think you are. Drink more water. Aim for two litres a day plus one cup of water for every caffeinated beverage you have. You might feel like your back teeth are floating by the end of the day, but your skin will thank you! Leave the popping to Dr. Pimple Popper. As satisfying as it can be to give your lumps and bumps a good squeeze, just leave them alone. You can use a spot treatment on them, apply a mask or incorporate an antioxidant oil to your routine and you can cover them with concealer to reduce redness, but resist the urge to pop them. A permanent scar from a pop gone bad is so much worse than a bump for a few days! Moisturize your skin! People are often afraid to add a moisturizer when they already have oily skin. The truth is, your skin will calm down a bit and reduce the overproduction of natural oils if you help it out by keeping it hydrated. Choose a moisturizer that’s formulated for your skin type, skin care is not a one size fits all thing. If you have other great tips, share them in the comments! If I can help you customize your skin care routine, let me know. I have an order going in tomorrow that will qualify for free shipping
