This is a wonderful article that I love! It shows a different perspective of normal, full term breastfeeding/chestfeeding that many are not used to in North America. The more we work to support families and the normalization of breastfeeding in our communities, the more commonplace it will become. https://www.naturalchild.org/arti/guest/ruth_kamnitzer.html

***Due to social distancing attempts to slow the transmission of COVID-19, La Leche League Canada has cancelled all in-person meetings until April 5th, 2020 (this will be re-evaluated as events progress).*** As a result, our in-person support drop-in scheduled for March 31, 2020 will be cancelled. We are in the process of creating an online virtual meeting to take the place of our monthly evening support (and possibly more frequently as needed). I will keep those following ...our page updated as the platform and method are decided. At anytime, please feel free to DM or email ([email protected]) with your questions, concerns, or support needs. Please keep yourself and your family a priority and make all attempts to put social distancing in practice for your family. Let's keep supporting each other through the online social means that we have. Social distancing, by no means implies that we need to travel on our own through our parenting and breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey.

This is a great reminder!! It also applies to toddlers, preschoolers and young school-age children; eventually, they will all do it on their own in their own time.
