"More than 350 search and rescue dogs were called into action on September 11, 2001. They scrambled over the smoldering debris of the Twin Towers, using all the...ir senses to locate survivors to no avail. From Daschunds to Golden Retrievers, dogs and their owners, all well-trained for the mission, were stunned by their inability to find a living soul. They did their best at the Pentagon site, as well. As the reality of the situation became starkly evident, depression reached the first responders, the owners and their animals, and soon, the dogs began to play another role that of comforter. They snuggled close to workers taking a moment of respite from their grueling labors, rested a head upon a knee, the men and women drawing solace from the warm touch of the animal and the dog rewarded with strokes and soft words. Search and rescue dogs have served during traumatic events throughout the world, from Oklahoma City to Haiti, reminding us, over and over, of the unbreakable bonds we share. See more

Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic we will be cancelling LKOC fall classes. We are hopeful to be able to offer classes spring 2021. We hope to see you all in the future. Unfortunately, After much deliberation the Lloydminster kennel & obedience club has made the difficult decision to cancel our annual 2020 dog show. We appreciate your understanding and support and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.

Unfortunately due to the state of emergency that has been declared by the Alberta premier due to COVID-19 pandemic we will be cancelling LKOC spring classes. We are hopeful to be able to offer classes this spring/summer. We will be refunding all payments and appreciate your patience during this process. We hope to see you all in the future.

Important Message regarding our response to COVID-19 Unfortunately, after much deliberation and consideration, we have decided to cancel the spring orientation night this Tuesday, March 17th at the Lloydminster Exhibition due to COVID-19. At this time we have not cancelled obedience classes but will continue to monitor the situation and follow directives from Government and health authorities and will keep you updated.
