Dear ice rink users - our staff works very hard to give you access to a beautiful rink.. please respect this ! Driving your car on the ice- creating frozen mud icicles all over is not the way to go !! please adhere to our rules...clean up after yourself in warm up, take care of your own fires and keep the rink in good order for all to use . Over the past week moose, caribou, deer and wolf have been killed by vehicle collisions in the Southern Lakes area. For your own safety and the sake of the wildlife, watch for them on the highways, particularly in the dark. Drive to the conditions, use winter tires, and make sure your headlights are clean and functional.

Stray dog in Old Bridge Rd Area on Annie Lake Rd. Its tracks are smaller than the ones from yesterdays so be careful!!
With the caribou arriving in the area, the wolves have now also arrived. Lots of fresh tracks in the Old Bridge Rd area last night sniffing around our dog trails, my chicken yard and even around my beehives. One even walked around a tree to avoid my game camera and then back on the trail once out of range. Watch your dogs!!
