The Langley community has been underserved in the plastic surgery field, with no full service plastic surgeon on staff for about a decade. That meant that patients who arrived at the emergency department with face or hand injuries or needing skin cancer surgeries were often sent to Surrey or Burnaby to receive treatment. Dr. Calder’s program today supports the ER teams and other surgeons, and helps patients find care in their own community currently about 200 patients each ...month. "Plastic surgery really is whole body surgery we operate from the head to the toe," says the UBC medical school graduate, originally from Alberta. Happy Diwali - festival of lights. The central ethos, lived through Sikhism, are as relevant as ever today. The message of unity, equality, and giving back. We're honoured that an anonymous donor has taken this time of celebration to match all donations made to the hospital in Guru Nanak's honour.... Donations are being matched up to $25,000! https://lmhfoundation.com/news/post/ We hope that today you can give a little to help Langley be a community of unity, equality, and giving back.

The Fraser Health public health teams are putting together a COVID-19 puzzle. A puzzle to help us understand how easily and readily this virus can be transmitted. Using examples from 3 real scenarios, we can start to understand the impact even one person has on our entire community, and the whole region. We all have to do our part to start to bend the curve once again.... https://www.fraserhealth.ca//what-you-didnt-know-about-cov
