As-salmu alaykum wa-ramatu llhi wa-baraktuhu, The LMM Board of Directors and Expansion Committee would like to express our gratitude to our membership for making time in their schedules to attend our virtual General Members Meeting (GMM) yesterday. We would also like to thank the broader community for its continued support. With approximately 140 attendees, we were able to exceed the required quorum of 89 and vote on a resolution to purchase *125 Woodward Avenue*. Result...s of the vote were as follows: *Resolution passed 132 3 (with 3 abstentions).* 132 members in favour 3 members opposed 3 abstentions We would like to congratulate our community on securing an expansion project that will enable us to accommodate the continued growth in our community and allow us to build on the strong foundation laid by our pioneers. As we look towards a promising new chapter, we would like to remember the contributions of all who came before us, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with them. This feat marks the beginning of a difficult but rewarding journey that will require the support of our community. We look forward to this challenge and would like to request your continued commitment as we work together towards making this project a success. We would like to thank the LMM Expansion Committee for their countless efforts over the past year towards securing the best expansion opportunity for LMM and the LMM Management & Operations Team for their hard work in organizing our virtual GMM. As well, a special acknowledgement goes out to Br. Maged Eissa for his exemplary effort in facilitating the LMM’s purchase of this property. Please note: It was brought to our attention that a very small number of registrants were not able to put forward their votes due to technical difficulties.
