Saint John artists, bands, promoters, enthusiasts, and fans: The public voting form for the 2019-2020 Best of Saint John From the Heat of Summer to the Dead of Winter Music Awards is now live! To better acquaint yourselves with all music videos, individual songs, and albums in contention for this year’s awards, please click on the various links included in the applicable categories in the most recent post on the Local FM website (included below). Therein, you will find our ...FULL LIST OF NOMINEES, along with a direct link to the public voting form itself. In solidifying the final list of nominees for the 12th iteration of BOSJ, we: 1) Relied upon self-nomination forms submitted by artists, bands, and fans. 2) Scoured all Bandcamp releases with the #saintjohn tag from 07/01/19-12/31/20. 3) Re-visited singles and albums that were especially popular among Local 107.3fm contributors on their radio shows prior to the campus closure on 03/17/20. We endeavoured to adequately represent the talent and diversity held within Saint John’s music community in compiling the contenders for this year’s awards. Our hope is that you’ll not only vote for your favourite artists and bands, but also take some time to delve into the offerings of other nominated artists whose creative work you’re less familiar with. The public voting period will end on Friday, February 19th at 5pm. If you have any questions about the Best of Saint John Music Awards, please contact Julia Rogers (Station Manager & Program Director, Local 107.3fm): [email protected] We’d like to thank the City of Saint John’s Community Arts Board for their financial contribution to the execution of this iteration of the Best of Saint John Music Awards. https://localfm.ca/2019-2020-best-of-saint-john-from-the-h/
