Had such a great trial with this natural beauty! We kept the makeup super light and fresh and went with this romantic low updo. It has been such an insane weekend with 3 weddings and 3 trials but this is what we live for!

This gorgeous bride came in for her makeup trial this morning. She opted for airbrush foundation which is a fantastic choice because it lasts longer than traditional makeup and is also more water resistant. Thanks for coming in, Morgan! Can’t wait for your big day!

We had the pleasure of getting Jen and her crew all glammed up for her wedding in Bethany at the Ranch Resort. When we arrived we were greeted by families of ducklings! It was so flippin cute! Hello Instagram world! Thank you for stumbling upon our account. We're friends now, right? Let me take a minute or 2 to tell you a little bit about myself! My name is Laura and I am the makeup artist at Locks & Lips. Erin and I formed this business at the beginning of August 2018. We had an incredible first wedding season working together as Locks & Lips, to be honest... I didn't think it could be as fun as it has been! Erin and I met in Mexico! We were at a destination wedd...ing together 5 years ago and we immediately clicked! When we got back home to reality and the bitter cold, Erin became my new hair girl. Her colour skills are just as amazing as her styles. ANYWAYS, when I went back to school for makeup, Erin was one of my biggest supporters and she started referring me to brides immediately. We worked a few weddings together that season, and that's when we realized, life is more fun when we are together... so why not join forces? We have a lot in common, we both have little girls the same age (and I also have a son), and our husbands actually work together too. Ellie is 3 going on 12 and full of curiosity and sass! She loves getting all made up and when she's at her vanity with her pretend makeup, she says she's "doing her work". Its adorable. My little guy Griffin, he's not so little lol. He just turned 2 and is bigger than his sister. I have my hands full with these 2 little munchkins but I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband and family. My husband Todd and I have been together for 10 years (holy moly I'm getting old!), and married for 5. We had a beautiful barn wedding and he has been making my dreams come true ever since. I am a firm believer that true love exists and soul mates are really a real thing! We have been through a lot together over the years, and he has always taken me for who I am. Even when I was 100 pounds heavier and going through postpartum depression, he always made me feel loved and secure. Fast forward to now- I'm a gym rat, coffee addict, mama bear with a passion of making my clients feel beautiful and confident. I love hair...like obsessed. I my self have thin brittle hair so I take and love every opportunity I can get to play with someone else's beautiful locks. I am a strong believer that as woman we need to build each other up. We need to fix another queens crown without telling the world it was crooked. A little bit about me.... I am entrepreneur. I took the leap of faith and opened up my salon after having my daughter Emily and realizing that working for someone else was no longer working for me. Having my own business has been an eye opening experience and I love being the boss of me. I work out of my home which allows me to spend more time with Emily and my amazing husband Steve. Steve and I have been together forever.. I can not remember my life without him. We were best friend in high school and our friendship blossomed into a loving relationship which has brought us to the happy life we live today. Emily is a ball of energy. She is sweet and feisty just like her mama and the cutest little thing you have ever seen! I am lucky and I know it. I have so much love and support behind me and it has made me the woman I am today. I am hair obsessed but I am makeup challenged...this is where Laura comes in! When I started to get my feet back into the wedding world time and time again I would be asked if I had a makeup artist and I didn't have anyone that I could really trust and recommend. Laura was a client of mine that quickly became more of a friend then anything and she had just taken her makeup course....I scooped her up real quick! I saw her potential, drive and passion and I wanted to do whatever I could to help her on her path to success.
