Would you believe that our great Alberta Government decided to crack down on unlicensed illegal locksmiths in about 2012. Well they had it all figured out ? They called all the real locksmiths in Alberta and threatened them to pay a $500 LOCKSMITH license fee or be fined up to $8000. This was a pure money crab as they made no efforts to stop the illegal Scammer Locksmiths from placing phony business locations all over Google and the Yellow Pages.... These phony locksmiths use drills to unlock your home and crow bars etc to open your car. When you do get locked out or need a locksmith to rekey your home make sure you only use fully licensed and insured company's.
