This week we are saying farewell to the most amazing team member, our sweet and smart Leanne who is also celebrating her 19th anniversary today. Where do we even start with her!? She has been an integral part of our team since the day she walked through the door and it’s hard to imagine not having her with us. But with that being said, we’re so excited for this new chapter in her life & wish her all the best. Lo Elliott will always, always remember you Leanne Mexico is waiting!!!

Team Update: Bella joined our Lo Elliott family in 2015 as a Certified Dental Assistant after graduating from Okanagan College in Kelowna. Bella was also a previous Lo Elliott patient as a teen, and wanted to be a Certified Orthodontic Assistant ever since. After being an assistant with us for the past 6 years, she has now taken over as our Kid's Club Coordinator as she enjoys helping younger patients prepare for their orthodontic treatment! Bella enjoys staying active outdoors hiking, salmon fishing, & camping with family and friends including her siberian husky Steele and her alaskan malamute Saber.

DAY 10: 12 DAYS OF GIVING UHNBC Paediatric Ward: Our Paula was busy shopping this weekend! She dropped off an assortment of items needed for the patients from toys, paint, games, crafts and hygiene products. It is such a difficult time for not only those working at the hospitals, but for the patients that are not allowed to have visitors..our hearts go out to them We hope this put a smile on their faces!

DAY 8: 12 DAYS OF GIVING Positive Living North: Catherine & Bailey collected gently used warm clothing over the week and dropped off a car load today to the Positive Living North in support of the Fire Pit Cultural Centre. The Fire Pit was created in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic Northern BC communities are experiencing. The prevention program's unique design targets the root causes of the epidemic: colonization, racism, poverty, homelessness, lack of education an...d the displacement many Aboriginal people experience. The Fire Pit's philosophy directly reflects how creating a safe space, where trust is established, leads to healing from the root causes of this epidemic.

DAY 7: 12 DAYS OF GIVING UHNBC Laboratory: When we think about healthcare, we often forget about this hardworking team behind the scenes! Our elves dropped off a Tim Hortons gift card for the 50+ team members of the lab team. Thank you for all you do & enjoy your morning fuel!

DAY 6: 12 DAYS OF GIVING The Foundry: This was a cause near and dear to Dr. Lo’s heart as her sister Jenn is apart of The Foundry in Victoria. The Foundry offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness resources, services and supports online and through integrated service centres in communities across BC. Bella & Crystal were honoured to pick 4 angels from the Angel Tree at the YMCA to give back to this holiday season. The angels were between the ages of 2-24 ye...ars old. 38 YEARS Agnes joined the team almost four decades ago shortly after Dr. Frank Lo founded Lo Elliott Orthodontics. DAY 5: 12 DAYS OF GIVING Prince George Humane Society: We couldn’t forget about our furry friends this season As you all know, we are complete suckers for our pets and wanted to make sure those without a home were well taken care of. Last week we hosted a social distanced backyard barbecue with two local comedians, Mike & Cody, who offered up their humor to raise money for a good cause and a great way to bring social distancing entertainment. They participate in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, which is a 250-kilometre bike ride over two days that takes place in the southern part of the province. They took on the challenge of doing the long-distance ride last year for the first time and will continued to support by raising money this year as the actual event has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Lo and Dr. Elliott committed to donating double what the Lo Elliott team members donated, for a total of $750. A great way to bond and raise money!
