IACS SERVES HOMELESS ON SUNDAY APRIL26, 2020 ON AKSHAYA TRITIYA AND HOLY MONTH OF RAMADHAN, With blessings from Jalaram Bapa, IACS Team of V...olunteers delivered pizza for dinner to homeless\working poor at 528 Powell St Vancouver on Sunday April 26th 2020 which is Akshaya Tritiya, which is an auspicious day in Hindu and Jain traditions. The festival carries symbolism of benevolence, prosperity, and charity through its many stories surrounding its cultural and religious significance. It is considered to be the date of the Goddess Annapurna's emergence. She is the Goddess of Food, Nourishment, and Charity; forever feeding those who are in need. It is also the month of Ramadan, where fasting and acts of charity cultivate empathy and (Self-)introspection. Many thanks to our sponsor Kiranbhai Vithlani ( Family Care Pharmacy) for their generous donations\support that gave us an opportunity to serve those in need.. Thanks to the team of volunteers for planning to serve vulnerable community in downtown Vancouver East during Covid -19 Epidemic in safe and healthy environment .
