I do have amazing friends and they certainly brightened up my day with these beautiful flowers. A yellow rose from each of them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

UPDATE: I have one more step to go tomorrow (Thursday) and I’ll post then. Hey folks. I’ve been quiet for personal reasons. I will update after Sept 2nd. Haven’t forgot about you. Life gets in the way, sometimes in an awesome way and sometimes in a non-awesome way. Love you all! Stay tuned!

When I was at the dog park in Kings Heights in Airdrie, I noticed this new sign. They’ve had these floating islands for a couple of years now and I didn’t know the real reason they put them in. They fenced off the pond, one reason was to protect the birds, also the pond had the blue algae that is fatal for dogs and now who knew these man made islands were as much a benefit as they say. These three amigos are waiting to get to the car.

I had no idea why ponds have floating islands for the best of the ecosystems.
