Trent University has 85 acres of vacant land on campus, east of the DNA buildings, and they want to allow green-technology startups to build there. The plans will be discussed at City Hall on Monday in Peterborough, Ontario.

A new national camp for LGBTQ youth started yesterday in Peterborough, Ontario at Trent University. Camp fYrefly is an arts-based camp that takes place for three days.

The provincial Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF) announced funding for upgrades and repairs to 131 Ontario hospitals. Unfortunately, the Peterborough Regional Health Centre was not included on the list.

The Peterborough Hockey Association has made changes to their 2017-2018 program to make the sport more affordable. Some of the changes include online registration, a new jersey and socks for the player to keep and an in-league tournament for all divisions.
