The Windsor and Essex County area has long been known for being generous and giving to those in need. In the past year that generosity and giving spirit has skyrocketed. From a record setting Food Drive to so many donating to help bring joy to families in need this Christmas....the list is so long. Lola's Pajama Fairy Project has been no exception to the outpouring of generosity more, than doubling the number of warm and cozy pajamas donated and collected this year. We kicked off the 4th year of Lola's Pajama Fairy Project 2020 on November 1st. It was our hope that we would reach or surpass our donations from last year of 620 pairs of warm and cozy Pajamas.... supporting 4 local charities. In our hearts we knew that our goal could be an unrealistic one given the challenges so many have faced this year. Today is marked as our final day for collecting Pajamas and we know now that we seriously underestimated the power of Pajama Fairy Magi...c and more importantly the caring and giving nature of the people of Windsor and Essex County. Today there was a steady flow of pajama drop offs happening. The total counted as of this evening is 1301 pairs of the warmest and coziest Pajamas ever seen. There are stacks and stacks and stacks of Pajamas in every size, colour, and design filling many rooms in our home . There are so many people out there that made the success of 2020 possible. Lola's Pajama Fairy Project has a long list of those that we want to thank and we will. The next few days though will be a flurry of sorting, organizing, tagging and preparing for the best part of this project...delivery!!
