After a successful summer session, we continue to offer low ratio swim lessons for children and adults. Private lessons are also available. All lessons are taught from a distance. To ensure safety and give younger swimmers the extra help they need, someone aged 13 and older will need to go in the pool with them. Space is designated for each class and each swimmer has their own equipment. We are excited to see people continuing to enjoy the pools.

Powerful message from those who may have to look for you when you don't wear your lifejacket or PFD when boating. Even good swimmers need to wear one. It's all important to note that lifejackets and PFDs should be worn on all watercraft from paddleboards and kayaks to power boats and fishing trawlers. #thinkbeforeyousink

Aquatic Services will be offering the first course you need to take to become a Lifeguard and Instructor with us Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid. We will be offering Bronze Medallion at two of our locations (Thames Outdoor Pool and the Canada Games Aquatic Centre) starting Monday August 3rd. The class sizes have been reduced in capacity, our instructors will be teaching from a distance and we are accommodating rescues and content with newly approved socially distanced techniques and use of training manikins.
