New Conversations is offering funding of up to $6,000 CAD / 3,500 GBP for partnerships to explore how they can develop new creative ideas, exchange knowledge and practice without meeting in person. The fund is open to Canada and UK-based individual artists, collectives, independent companies and organizations of theatre and dance, but we welcome applications from collaborations across art forms. Priority will be given to project proposals led by groups or people who identify... as minority ethnic, D/deaf and or disabled, and LGBTQIA+. The London Clay Art Centre invites you and your family to come and try out the potter's wheel this SUNDAY NOVEMBER 08. The cost is $10 per person. Available on a first come basis. What a weekend for London Arts Live. On Friday October 9, LAL artists Taiwo Apampa, Sharmistha Kar, Eizabeth Morgan and Micheal Trudgen popped up in Victoria Park. They created a multi-media mix of dance, visual art and music. Everyone was welcome to the party! Lots of people stopped by to dance, listen to music and talk to the artists about their work. A whole lot going on tomorrow (Saturday October 03) in the Old East Village. From 10 am to 5 pm, the new arts and culture space, Somerville 630 (630 Dundas St), will celebrate its grand opening with a visual art exhibition (featuring 9 local artists), cross cultural cuisine, and pop up London Arts Live musical entertainment. The London Clay Art Centre (644 Dundas St) will host their annual Potters Market from 10am to 4 pm. This will take place in the parking lot behind the LCAC. Higher Vibration Photo Suite. London Arts Live artists Asha Thorton, Frank Reynoso and Rocky Chief aka Shred Wolf (known as Empress Asha and the Soulfyres) popped up at Victoria Park on September 26th. LAL artist Angie Quick was also there, and she artfully interpreted the action. September certainly was a month to remember - so many talented LAL artists embracing their gifts for the joyful benefit of the community! And a special thank you to Downtown London for their support.
