London Bathrooms 05.10.2020

Sam Clayworth and I just finished a nice tiled bathroom. Our plumbers and our shower installers are also father and son businesses!

Between full bathroom renovations we also do bathroom repairs. A recent client’s toilet was leaking. It was a problem with the toilet flange being broken so the bolts no longer held the toilet down properly. I took out the tile, subfloor and main floor, cut back the 3 ABS by hand (there was no room for power tools) to get below the floor and leave room for the coupling, pipe and new flange. Now we have a solid 1-1/4 floor to screw the new flange to. Luckily she had extra tile so I’ll cut those tomorrow and install them, grout, reinstall the baseboards and a new toilet. Not glamorous but necessary!

We wrapped up a bathroom in the 3rd level of a 4 level side split. My client’s design, stacked tile pattern, razor sharp lines and practical storage. Benjamin Moore Perspective is a wonderful bathroom colour. Heated floors were very budget friendly and easy to install and operate.

Glass shower enclosures can trick the eye and make a bathroom look less crowded. Take this bathroom we did for example..... if this shower wasn’t glass it would seem smaller!

We got a call to replace a shower valve that had been leaking. Luckily we could access it from another room. After replacing the plumbing we put in blocking, drywall, tape and drywall compound. We pre fill the small spaces with drywall compound, then add tape and a coat of drywall compound. Next step is another coat of compound, sand, prime and paint! Bathroom super heroes to the rescue!

This is an in-progress shot of a recent bathroom we did. Tiling around a mirror creates an eye catching frame and creates a beautiful focal point!

This before and after is a great example of how much of a difference new paint, tile and fixtures can make!
