Fatal collision claims one and seriously injures two others London man facing drug-impaired driving charges UPDATE - LONDON, ON (February 10, 2020) Members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit have charged a London man today in relation to an investigation that commenced on October 7, 2019.... The two-vehicle collision claimed the life of Penny A. Kay, a 68-year-old Sparta woman. Both the suspect and another person were also seriously injured. As a result of the ongoing investigation, a *57-year-old London man is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Impaired operation of a conveyance causing death; Impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm; Dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death; and Dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm; The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on March 18, 2020, in relation to the charges. *For full name of the accused - visit our website: https://www.londonpolice.ca/Modules/News/index.aspx ___________________________________________ ORIGINAL - LONDON, ON (October 7, 2019) The London Police Service is currently at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highbury Avenue South near Scotland Drive. The 71-year-old male driver and passenger in one vehicle were transported to hospital in serious condition and the 68-year-old female passenger was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the second vehicle, a 57-year-old man, was also transported to hospital in serious condition. The section of Highbury Avenue South between Scotland and Westminster drives has been reopened. MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID IN RELATION TO ICE UNIT INVESTIGATION 26-year-old London man arrested LONDON, ON (February 10, 2020) A 26-year-old London man is facing sixteen charges after an investigation by members of our LPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.... A man is alleged to have met a young girl through a Church located at 130 Falcon Street in August of 2018. The two began to converse through the mobile application, Instagram, as well as through text messages for approximately one year. The girl and the man exchanged naked images of themselves with each other, and later met in person a number of times. London police were notified February 4, 2020, and on February 7, 2020, members of the LPS ICE Unit arrested a man at a south end residence. As a result of the investigation, a *26-year-old London man is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Three counts of luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication; Four counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age; Four counts of sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age; Two counts of invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age; Make available sexually explicit material to person under or believed under 16 years for specific criminal offences; Unlawfully possess child pornography; and Luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication. Investigators believe that there may be additional victims, and are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident, to contact police. The accused is expected to appear in London court on March 23, 2020, in relation to the charges. London Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet. The Strategy has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General. A stop by our TMU members resulted in a vehicle being impounded early this morning. The woman was charged for driving while under suspension, no insurance, toddler not properly secured and two validation offences. The driver now also faces a day in court. #ldnont #lpstraffic
